IssAndes was conceived as a project that integrates many agricultural approaches with the main driving force to find sustainable alternatives.
We learned the following lessons:
- We needed to focus on agricultural and production systems to improve the consumption of food amongst vulnerable population groups.
- Availability of food in the home and increased revenues is predicated on the increased productivity of potato farming families.
- Project partners working hand in hand will preserve the integrity of the project as different institutions with bring different experience and points of views.
- Policy advocacy component is key to reaching large scale interventions and improve communication amongst the different groups.
